Bills of Costs

CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19: We are able to import files electronically to enable our Legal Costs team to carry out work remotely. Please contact Esmer Aljkanovic for further information.

Our team of Costs Lawyers and Draftsmen possess extensive experience of preparing Bills of Costs for Detailed Assessment in all types of matters. We proactively seek to fully justify the costs being claimed in order to maximise the client’s costs recovery.

We will ensure that the Bill of Costs prepared accurately reflects the fee earner’s file of papers and stands up to scrutiny in the event of a Provisional or Detailed Assessment Hearing. In matters where the Court has made a Costs Management Order, we will ensure that the Bill of Costs reflects the approved or agreed Costs Budget as closely as possible.

The requirement for an electronic Bill of Costs is applicable to all Part 7 multi-track claims except where proceedings are subject to fixed costs or scale costs, cases where the receiving party is a Litigant in Person or circumstances where the Court has ordered otherwise.
